A legacy gift to the City of Prince George was unveiled Friday at the 25th anniversary celebration and sponsors appreciation night of the Festival of Trees.
For 25 years the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation has celebrated the spirit of giving and the holiday season through the Festival of Trees. An incredible amount of energy goes into this 10-day event that sees more than 10,000 people through its doors each year. Over the 25 years more than $8 million has been raised to support healthcare equipment at UHNBC.
In the kick-off event, sponsored by RBC Wealth Management, the legacy gift was being presented to the City of Prince George to commemorates the significant milestone. Commissioned by Spirit of the North and RBC through the TimberKings and Pioneer Log Homes, the one of a kind original carved gift will adorn the Civic Centre this year, but also for many years to come throughout the festive Season.
“This is an event like no other,” said CEO for Spirit of the North. “It involves the community in a way that no other event has – and for 25 years running. It really does have something for everyone – because we truly believe healthcare touches everyone.”
