Spruce Kings lose in a shootout

The Prince George Spruce Kings lost in a shootout to the Chilliwack Chiefs Friday night before 2,733 fans at Prospera Centre in Chilliwack.

The Spruce Kings opened up a 2-0 lead by the end of the second on goals from Dustin Manz and Nicholas Poisson. Things came off the rails in the third period, however, as Harrison Blaisdell and Kevin Wall each scored power play goals early in the third to knot the teams at two.

The overtime frame resolved nothing.

Logan Neaton made 24 saves in the Spruce Kings net while Mathieu Caron and Nolan Hildebrand combined to make 39 saves in the Chilliwack net.
