Cougars shut out Giants to earn weekend split

The Prince George Cougars earned a weekend split, with their 1-0 win over the Vancouver Giants on Sunday afternoon. Ethan Browne scored the game-winner, on the power-play in the first period, and Isaiah DiLaura stopped 26-shots for his first career shutout. The Cougars have now won three of their last four games.

GAME NOTES

DILAURA PERFECT: Isaiah DiLaura picked up his career shutout on Sunday, stopping 26-shots. DiLaura has won his last two starts, as he’s now 3-2-0-1 on the season, posting a 2.38 goals-against average and a .926 save percentage. In his last three starts, DiLaura owns a .948 save percentage. Sunday was the first time the Giants have been shutout this season. The Cougars have now posted two shutouts in their last three games.

GOALS FOR BROCK: In November, the Prince George Cougars Alumni Society is donating $30 for every Cougars goal to the University of Lethbridge ‘s Brock Hirsche Memorial Hockey Award.
