Cougars come up short against the Giants

The Prince George Cougars had their two-game win streak come to end Saturday, in their 2-1 loss to the Vancouver Giants at the Langley Events Centre. Connor Bowie scored his first goal of the season in the loss. The Giants managed to survive the Cougars third period push, as they were outshot 17-5 in the final frame by the visitors. The Cougars were inches away from tying the game, as Cole Moberg’s point-shot nicked off the post in the dying seconds.

GAME NOTES

A NIGHT OF FIRSTS: Connor Bowie scored his first goal of the season and his first since March 17th, 2018 against the Kamloops Blazers. Both Giants’ goals were firsts for Tyler Ho and Cyle McNabb. McNabb’s game-winner was his first point this season.
