Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation is once again delighted to receive the proceeds from the Smile Cookie Campaign held throughout all eight Tim Horton’s locations in Prince George. A total of $36,448 was raised from September 17-23.

For many years now Tim Hortons has offered the Smile Cookie Campaign to the community where the proceeds help improve local healthcare for our smallest patients. This year’s proceeds are to help fund a dedicated maternal operating room at UHNBC. This means a safer entry into the world for our littlest patients, more peace of mind for families as they plan for this special day, and less disruption to scheduled operations at UHNBC.

“Who wouldn’t be smiling? Tim Hortons is an amazing corporate partner who gives so much to healthcare in the North,” commented Judy Neiser, CEO for Spirit of the North, in a news release. “These cookies brighten everyone’s day. We truly appreciate everyone who supports this campaign and Tim Hortons for designating these funds to be used to help bring the best of care closer to home in the North. The cause they have chosen has such direct benefit for all patients in the North – we couldn’t be more delighted with the outcome.”
