Wheat Kings stage come back and down Cougars 5-4

The Prince George Cougars winless streak stretched to four-games, after a 5-4 loss to the Brandon Wheat Kings on Tuesday. The Cougars led 3-1 after the first period but the Wheat Kings responded with four unanswered goals, three in the second, to end their five-game winless streak. Vladislav Mikhalchuk led the Cougars with a goal and three points. Taylor Gauthier started but was replaced by Isaiah DiLaura late in the second period after a collision between him and a teammate.

WARMING UP: Forward Vladislav Mikhalchuk has a goal and four assists in his last two games. Mikhalchuk leads the Cougars in assists (9) and points (11). Defenceman Cole Moberg now has two goals and four points in his last three games. Forward Josh Maser has scored in three-straight games.

OVERDUE:Tuesday, the Wheat Kings picked up their first win in Prince Georges since October 22nd, 2014, when they beat the Cougars 7-4. They also snapped a two-game winless streak against the Cougars.
