Astronomical society to host talk at library tomorrow

The director of the Prince George Astronomical Observatory will give a free talk at the library on Thursday evening.

Malhar Kendurkar will cover the history of astronomical transients. The presentation will include a look at the astronomers who first discovered supernovae in the Milky Way galaxy and how technology assists the science of astronomy in modern day.

The public can expect to learn about the purchase and use of telescopes, and weather permitting, telescopes will be available for stargazing.

Everyone is welcome to attend this free drop in program which will be held in the Keith Gordon Room at the Bob Harkins Branch from 7-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 1.
