Like most occasions it came down to very end between the Prince George Spruce Kings and the Langley Rivermen.

Ben Brar played the hero for the second consecutive night, scoring his ninth of the season shorthanded in the middle frame to preserve a 2-1 victory.

The win makes the Spruce Kings a perfect two-for-two on a three game road swing that ends tomorrow in Coquitlam against the Express (3 PM).

Dustin Manz added a single in the first period beating Rivermen goaltender Braedon Fleming who made 19 saves in defeat.

Logan Neaton was the busier of the two netminders and allowed just one goal on 37 Langley shots.

The Spruce Kings record is now 10-4-0-1 on the season five points back of the Chilliwack Chiefs for top spot in the Mainland Division.
