Kyle Sampson was first in line to cast his vote and submit his ballot as advance polls opened today. He was joined by some of his supporters, including Prince George-Valemount MLA Shirley Bond. He was the official witness alongside election officials to perform inspections on the ballot box and voting machine at the Prince George Civic Centre, and his vote was the first submitted in the election. Sampson is hoping by voting early he can encourage others to ‘Get Out & Vote’ by showing that voting in Prince George is easy, accessible, and an important right to exercise. Submitted photo
