A 38-year-old woman is facing several charges, including attempted murder, following an incident on McIntyre Crescent early Sunday morning.
Police say officers attended the scene and found a man suffering from what appeared to be stab wounds. The victim was transported to hospital by paramedics and is expected to survive.
Sindy Pelletier was arrested at the scene and has been held in custody at least until she makes her first appearance in provincial court later today. Pelletier has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose, and uttering threats.
Police say this was an isolated incident where the victim and accused are known to each other and that alcohol was a factor.
