Advance polls open on Wednesday

Voters interested in beating the crowds on general voting day in Prince George’s 2018 General Local Election can take advantage of four advance voting opportunities starting this week.

The first advance voting opportunity is on Wednesday, October 10, at the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre (808 Canada Games Way) on the second floor from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

There will be three other advance voting opportunities:

  • Thursday, October 11 – Pine Centre Mall, 2055 Massey Drive.
  • Tuesday, October 16 – Prince George Conference and Civic Centre, second floor, 808 Canada Games Way.
  • Wednesday, October 17 – UNBC, Bentley Centre, 3333 University Way.

General voting day is October 20. Voting hours on all advance voting opportunities and on general voting day are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The city has published a web page, www.princegeorge.ca/election, which provides a variety of information relating to the 2018 general local election including information about the candidates, voting opportunities and locations, and voter eligibility.

Regional District elections

For the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George there are elections for director in Areas C, F, G and H.

ADVANCE VOTING OPPORTUNITIES for all four elections will be open as follows:

Wednesday, October 10, 2018 and Wednesday, October 17, 2018 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George, 155 George Street, Prince George, BC

For Area H election only – Additional  ADVANCE VOTING OPPORTUNITIES will be open as follows:

Wednesday, October 10, 2018 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Robson Valley Community Centre, 441 Columbia Street, McBride, BC
  • Valemount Community Hall, 101 Gorse Street, Valemount, BC

School District 57 elections

Prince George Trustee Electoral Area

ADVANCE VOTING OPPORTUNITIES will be open to qualified electors of School District No. 57 Prince George Trustee Electoral Area 1

Wednesday October 10 from 8 am to 8pm at the following locations

  • Prince George Conference and Civic Centre
  • Regional District of Fraser-Fort George office

Thursday October 11 from 8 am to 8 pm at the following location

  • Pine Centre Mall

Tuesday, October 16 from 8 am to 8 pm at the following location

  • Prince George Conference and Civic Centre

Wednesday, October 17 from 8 am to 8 pm at the following locations

  • UNBC
  • Regional District of Fraser-Fort George office

Robson Valley Trustee Electoral Area

ADVANCE VOTING OPPORTUNITIES will be open to qualified electors of School District No. 57 Robson Valley Trustee Electoral Area 3

Wednesday, October 10 from 8 am to 8 pm at the following locations

  • Regional District of Fraser-Fort George office
  • Robson Valley Community Centre (McBride)
  • Valemount Community Hall
  • Village of McBride office
  • Village of Valemount office

Wednesday, October 17 from 8 am to 8 pm at the following location

  • Regional District of Fraser-Fort George office
