The Prince George Cougars (2-1-0-0) picked up their second-straight win of the pre-season Saturday night, picking up a 7-3 win over the Vancouver Giants (2-2-0-1) at the Langley Events Centre (LEC).

Max Kryski had a team-high four points (2-2-4) and Josh Curtis, Tyson Upper, Tyson Phare and Rhett Rhinehart each had multi-point games. Curtis, Upper, Vladislav Mikhalchuk, Ilijah Colina and Cole Moberg also scored for the Cougars.

Prince George led 2-0 after the first period, on goals by Mikhalchuk and Kryski (power-play). After Vancouver scored early in the second, the Cougars responded with three-straight to close out the middle frame. Highlighting the second period scoring was Curtis (8:54), Upper (15:37) and Colina, short-handed (17:23).

The Giants cut into the lead in the third, scoring twice in the first seven-minutes to make it 5-3, but the Cougars responded, again, with two goals, as Moberg (9:10) and Kryski (15:58) put the game out of reach. Moberg’s goal was key, as he scored from the corner just over two minutes after the Giants made it a two-goal game.

The Cougars face the Victoria Royals (4-0-0-0) Sunday at noon, at the LEC. Victoria beat the Everett Silvertips 7-1 Saturday afternoon.
