The Duchess Park playground is open again.
One of the City’s most popular playgrounds has received an upgrade over the last several weeks, improving fall protection on site and making the playground more accessible for everyone.
Gone is the artificial grass and new is a cushioned surface made of recycled tires – about 5700 tires to be precise. Thanks to the BC Tire Stewardship Council for their support of the project.
Improvements at the playground also include new angled parking lot just off Ross Crescent and new sidewalks.
