Drugs and weapons seizure

Prince George RCMP arrested three people Thursday, July 12, as part as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

A loaded handgun was found hidden in a cereal box at the scene of the arrests, outside Pine Centre Mall.

The arrests led to the execution of a search warrant at a residence on the 2200 block of Queensway in Prince George.  The search resulted in the seizure of cocaine, methamphetamine, drug trafficking paraphernalia and three long guns, including one that was confirmed to have been stolen.

A 23-year-old woman who was arrested for possession of property obtained by crime and weapons-related offences, was released on a promise to appear for court on December 5.

A 30-year-old man and a 27-year-old man arrested at the scene, were released pending further investigation.

All three are well known to police and believed to play significant roles in the local drug trade, say police.
