Fire training taking place at the Prince George Airport (YXS) on Wednesday July 11 from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm and again on Thursday July 12 from 7:00 am to 9:00 am. Locals are reminded these fires pose no threat to the public or surrounding areas. These fires are held in self-contained training facilities under controlled circumstances and are part of ongoing recurrent fire training and certification.
These fires may produce dark smoke in and around the airport area which has, in the past, caused concern from local residents resulting in increased call volumes to your agencies.
