UNBC men’s soccer schedule released

The UNBC Men’s soccer team will welcome the University of Victoria Vikes to open the 2018-2019 Canada West season, playing the first official game at UNBC’s new home for varsity soccer, Masich Place Stadium.

Fresh off the best season in program history, the Timberwolves officially kick off the conference schedule on Friday, August 24th, in the first of two matchups against the Vikes.

Other highlights on the Timberwolves’ schedule include hosting the Trinity Western Spartans over the September 7th & 8th weekend, a one-game visit to the Saskatchewan Huskies on September 16th, and a late September trip to UBC for a doubleheader with the perennially-strong Thunderbirds.

UNBC will wrap up their regular season schedule on the road on October 14th at the University of Fraser Valley. The TWolves played their final game of the 2017 season at the Cascades, and helped book their first trip to the Canada West playoffs.

Fresh off a 5-5-6 campaign in 2017, Steve Simonson’s squad will look to keep improving on program records in wins, points, and goals allowed.

Again this season, CW is set to offer an extensive soccer webcast package via Canada West TV, the conference’s official streaming platform. Over 150 conference soccer games were streamed in 2017, and all games will be available on demand this season.
