Cougars release pre-season schedule

The Prince George Cougars will have only one pre-season game in CN Centre this fall.

The Western Hockey League team released the 2018 Pre-Season schedule yesterday, seeing them play five exhibitions games, one in August and four in September.

Of the five exhibition games, four are on the road, including the Cougars pre-season opener on Friday, August 31 against the Kamloops Blazers at 7 p.m. The follow night (September 1) the Cougars face the Kelowna Rockets at Prospera Place at 7:05 p.m.

One week later the Cougars are once again on the road, when they head to the Langley Events Centre, where the Vancouver Giants are hosting a pre-season tournament. The Cougars play the Giants on Saturday, September 8 at 7 p.m., and the Victoria Royals at noon on Sunday, September 9.

The Cougars lone home pre-season game takes place the following Saturday, September 15, when they welcome the Blazers for a 7 p.m tilt at the CN Centre.

The Cougars entire pre-season schedule is as follows:

  • PG vs. KAM (7 pm)- Friday, August 31
  • PG vs. KEL (7:05 pm)- Saturday, September 1
  • PG vs. VAN (7 pm)- Saturday, September 8 (Vancouver Tournament)
  • PG vs. VIC (12 pm)- Sunday, September 9 (Vancouver Tournament)
  • KAM vs PG (7pm)- Saturday, September 15 (CN Centre)
