Grafitti threats made to Fort Nelson school

A graffiti threat against a Fort Nelson school has Northern Rockies RCMP and school staff on high alert.

The threat, directed at the local secondary school was written on a wall in the school regarding a school shooting on June 20.

The RCMP are working with the school district with the safety of all being the number one priority.

A letter has been distributed to all parents advising of the discovery of the written threat. Police will have a presence at the school to enhance safety and continue to investigate to determine the source of the threat. 

The RCMP takes threats of any nature very seriously, especially during the time of heightened awareness and concerns around school safety. Uttering threats, verbally, in writing or implying a threat is a Criminal Code offence and will not be tolerated in any way. say police.
