Police are treating a sudden death at the Alkali Lake First Nation June 1 as suspicious in nature.
The RCMP were called out shortly after 3 p.m. where they discovered the body of a woman. During the course of the investigation the death appeared suspicious in nature and North District Major Crime was called for assistance and now has conduct of the investigation.
Although the investigation is ongoing, police have no information to suggest that the greater public is at further risk.
