A nine-year-old boy was approached by two men, who left the area in a white, older model cargo van with no rear windows and rusty rims. At 10 a.m. on June 5, the Prince George RCMP received a report that a man had attempted to get two teenaged boys into his van by asking them for help finding his keys inside the vehicle. This incident was reported to have happened outside Heather Park Elementary School. The two teenaged boys, who were not believed to be students at the school, were seen running away and the van also left the area. The van was described as white in colour, with something brown covering the windows. The man was described as follows:

The Prince George RCMP are currently investigating both incidents and would like to speak to the two teenaged boys involved in the June 5 incident. At this time, police would also like to remind the adult public that it is not appropriate to approach school aged children not known to you.
