City re-opens park and trails closed due to high water

The City of Prince George is reopening Paddlewheel Park, the island in Cottonwood Island Nature Park, and the Heritage River Trail from the Cameron Street Bridge, past the confluence with the Fraser, to Taylor Drive.

These areas were closed last month due to rising waters from the Fraser and Nechako Rivers. Steadily dropping water levels now allow the affected park areas and trails to be reopened.

Earlier this week, the city rescinded its evacuation alert for Farrell Street residents.
