One man is in hospital following an early morning crash south of Hixon.
Quesnel RCMP and North District Traffic Services were called to the scene of a motorcycle crash shortly after 7 a.m. this morning. The accident occurred on Highway 97 approximately five kilometres south of Hixon
A northbound Suzuki motorcyclist lost control of this bike and the driver and lone rider was thrown from the bike. The 23-year-old-male driver was taken to hospital with injuries that have been described as serious.
The highway was closed for a period of time but has since reopened in both directions. The investigation continues and police believe that speed to be a factor in this crash.
