City activates emergency operations centre

The City of Prince George has notified the provincial government that it has activated its Emergency Operations Centre due to the flood risk from rising water in the Nechako and Fraser Rivers. The City is not issuing any warnings, alerts, or evacuation orders to homeowners or businesses at this time.

Currently, the Emergency Operations Centre is activated at level one, its lowest level, which means the Centre is in a state of readiness due to the flood risk and has access to provincial government emergency funding.
