One suspect arrested for Queensway shooting

Police question possible witnesses of a shooting at the Queensway Court Motel on Queensway near 17th Avenue Tuesday.

Police have arrested a 23-year-old Prince George man in connection with the shooting at the Queensway Court Motel Tuesday morning.

The shooting around 8 a.m. Wednesday, which resulted in one man suffering gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment and is expected to survive, say police.

This investigation is progressing and police continue to seek out all persons that were involved.  Police say the shooting was targeted and related to the drug trade.  The Prince George RCMP do not believe the general public is at risk.
