Fort St. John RCMP arrest suspect after business robbed


Fort St. John RCMP have a man in custody following a robbery at a local business Friday evening.

Police got the call at about 10:30 p.m. They responded and apprehended a suspect they believe was responsible for the robbery. As a result, police also recovered money, cigarettes and liquor believed to have been taken during the robbery. Police believe that this person is also responsible for another robbery that occurred on Wednesday, April 11.

The suspect is facing possible charges of two counts of Robbery, two counts of possess weapon dangerous to public peace and two counts of intent to commit indictable offence with face masked. The suspect remains in police custody and is scheduled to appear in provincial court on Thursday April 19.
