The heavy snow overnight is causing havoc on the city’s power system.
BC Hydro is reporting 14 separate power outages around the city this morning, likely caused by heavy wet snow bringing down trees, branches, and power lines.
The outages include the main service at the Prince George Airport, Miworth, Willowcale Road, areas of Pineview, Pulpmill Road, Chief Lake Road, Salmon Valley, and Willow River. Most of the outages are small, localized outages, except for Miworth and Willow River where several hundred homes are affected.
