Vanderhoof police looking for Devon Jacobs

At about 3 a.m. Wednesday, Vanderhoof RCMP spotted a wanted man and woman at a local convenience store.

Police say the man was Devon Andrew Jacobs, 33. Jacobs and the woman were in a vehicle that appeared to be overweight with numerous items that might suggest a household move. Police approached Jacobs, however he and the woman fled on foot. The police apprehended the woman, who also had an outstanding warrant. She remains in custody pending a court appearance.

The police dog service was called to assist in the search for Jacobs, however he has not yet been located. If you have any information on the whereabouts of Jacobs, you are asked to call the Vanderhoof RCMP at 250 567-2222 or Crime Stoppers at 1 800 222-8477.  Police say under no circumstance should you approach Jacobs or try to apprehend him.

During the investigation police discovered some of the property in the back of the truck had been stolen. Police believe that the remaining property in the truck is also stolen and are hoping to identify the rightful owners of the property.
