Investigators are looking for information from the public to hopefully solve a homicide that happened more than 10 years ago.
On March 26, 2007, the body of 44-year-old Shawn Halikowski was found near Hofferkamp Road, just off Highway 97. Halikowski had not been seen since March 11, 2007. Investigators do not believe that Halikowski passed away where he was found near Hofferkamp Road, but that he was transported there after his death.
The investigation into Halikowski’s death has been thorough and extensive; however officers believe that there are people who have information that could help solve this case. Halikowski spent time with several people on March 11 and investigators believe that one or more of these people may have information about his death.
Halikowski’s was a well-loved and determined man. He put himself through university and obtained a master’s degree, got married and was a father to a baby girl.
