Two men stabbed in Fort St. John altercation

Charges of aggravated assault are pending following a stabbing outside a Fort St. John nightclub Tuesday.

RCMP received the call at 2 a.m. They were told that a man with a knife had fled the area and that another person had been stabbed. A man was located in the parking lot suffering from stab wounds and was immediately transported to hospital in serious condition.

The police quickly located the suspect a short distance away and he was immediately arrested. The suspect was also suffering from a stab wound. At the hospital, police discovered a second victim who was also stabbed. His injuries are deemed non-life-threatening. Both victims were able to positively identify their attacker.

The incident appears to be the result of an argument with alcohol as a contributing factor. The suspect is facing charges for aggravated assault.
