Want to have a say on how much city council gets paid?

The City of Prince George is accepting applications from residents who wish to serve on the city’s advisory committee on council remuneration.

The committee will provide recommendations to city council on the amount of financial compensation and work-related expenses the mayor and council will receive as outlined in the council remuneration bylaw. The committee will consist of up to five members from the public.

Appointed members of the committee will present their findings at a meeting of council anticipated to be held in April 2018. The appointments to the committee will expire once the final recommendations are presented to council.

Interested residents can visit the city website to learn about the eligibility requirements and apply to become a volunteer member on the advisory committee on council remuneration by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 16.
