Another greasy performance by the Prince George Spruce Kings against the Chilliwack Chiefs came up spades on the road.

The visitors gutted out a 2-1 victory on Monday against the RBC Cup hosts from Prospera Centre

Patrick Cozzi got the luckiest bounce of all as his wrist shot bounce went off the skate of Chilliwack goaltender Daniel Chenard and crossed the red line to seal the sudden victory.

Prince George gave up the first goal for the second time in the series as Will Calverley scored early in the middle frame.

The Spruce Kings responded right back as Chays Ruddy potted his first of the post-season courtesy of a seeing-eye wrist shot that got past the Chiefs defence and into the goal for a 1-1 tie after 40 minutes.

Evan DeBrouwer made 32 saves who now enjoy a 2-1 series lead in their best-of-seven Mainland Division series with game four set for Tuesday in Chilliwack.

The Rolling Mix Concrete Arena will play host to game 5 on Thursday with a 7 p.m. puck drop.
