One man is dead following a head-on crash near Taylor Sunday.
Fort ST John RCMP and Emergency Services personnel were called to the scene at the top of the South Taylor Hill on Highway 97 at about 4:45 p.m..
A Western Star commercial vehicle was south bound on Highway 97 when a GMC pickup truck, travelling north, crossed the center line and into the path of the semi. The driver of the pickup, a 19-year-old man from Grande Prairie Alberta, was pronounced dead at the scene.
As a result of the crash, the highway was closed for a period of time but has since reopened.
The RCMP and BC Coroners are investigating, however it is suspected that distracted driving may have played a role in this crash.
