Prince George-Mackenzie MLA Mike Morris says he has no apologies to make.
The MLA has come under fire this week for suggesting that $50 million the NDP government has committed for preserving Indigenous language could be better spent on other things, such as policing in rural B.C.
In an emotional video post on his Facebook page, reacted to the criticism he has received on social media calling him a racist. He said he was simply saying the NDP budget didn’t commit enough resources to protecting vulnerable people in rural communities. Morris said he stands by his comments in the legislature last week.
