The Prince George Spruce Kings found a way to rebound on Saturday, slipping past the Coquitlam Express by a 3-0 score.

After a scoreless first, Ben Brar lit the lamp for the visitors rifling one past Express goaltender Brock Hamm for a 1-0 lead after 40 minutes.

Even though Prince George was outshot most of the game, the team received some stellar goaltending from Bradley Cooper who backstopped his way to a 29-save shutout.

Ben Poisson and Ethan de Jong added a pair of late third period goals putting the game out of reach.

Coquitlam outshot the Spruce Kings 29-17.

Prince George remains neck and neck with Mainland Division rivals the Langley Rivermen and Surrey Eagles for top spot.

The Chilliwack Chiefs welcome the Spruce Kings for a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m.
