School District No. 57 has announced a new strategy in the delivery of project based learning at the elementary level.
With the support of Canfor, a 20-foot cargo trailer has been purchased to be used as a mobile support vehicle that will be positioned at elementary schools throughout the school district.
The trailer will be outfitted with age appropriate tools that will be used to build projects with students in grades 3 to 7. Students will gain the knowledge and skills outlined in the new Applied Design Skills and Technologies curriculum.
Canfor has provided funds for the trailer as well as some support funding to ensure the trailer begins its journey on solid ground.
