With only three days left to get a ticket on the Hospice House Dream Home lottery, Brink Forest Products owner John Brink has issued a challenge to community members to purchase tickets.

“I challenge every lumberman in town, everyone who works for a lumber mill, every businessman in town, and anybody who doesn’t have a ticket to get one because the winning ticket, I believe, is still there,” he said. “I’m going to buy some more.”

The Dream Home Lottery is a huge part of Hospice’s annual fundraising, says Sanja Knezevic, special events coordinator for Hospice.

“We still have approximately 1,700 tickets left to sell,” she said Tuesday morning. “This is our biggest fundraiser of the year. It provides 17 per cent of our annual funding that Hospice needs to support the community.”

To realize that 17 per cent, they need to sell all 9,999 tickets printed. Tickets can be purchased at the Dream Home, located at 3952 Larisa Court in the Nechako View subdivision or online at https://hospicedreamhome.ca/order-tickets/

The house is valued at $570,000. The draw will be held on Friday, December 1, at 8 p.m.
