Impaired driver involved in several collisions

Just after 4 p.m. Tuesday, the Prince George RCMP received a report of a possible impaired driver on Alward Street and Laurier Crescent in Prince George.

Witnesses advised police that a female driver of a Dodge Dakota pickup had collided with several vehicles, barriers and even buildings as she negotiated her way down the road.  One witness was able to remove the keys from the vehicle once it was stopped and as police were being called.

Officers arrived and arrested the 53-year-old Prince George resident for impaired driving.  She was transported to the Detachment where she provided breath samples of nearly three times the legal limit.  Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The suspect was issued a driving prohibition and released on a promise to appear for provincial court.
