Shooting suspect arrested in Quesnel

 

Quesnel RCMP located and arrested Cody Aubrey Lornsten on Roddis Drive Wednesday morning.  Lornsten was arrested without incident and was remanded in custody to appear in court in Prince George later this morning.

Lornsten was wanted in connection to an October 22 shooting in the 2000 block of Tamarack Street in Prince George.

Evidence gathered during this investigation has led investigators to believe that two individuals exchanged gunfire outside the residence.  Those two individuals are believed to be 31-year-old Lornsten and 20-year-old Michael Campbell-Alexander, was arrested last week and remains in custody.

Campbell-Alexander has been charged with attempted murder, unlawfully killing an animal, unlawfully possessing a prohibited, loaded firearm, careless use of a firearm, and discharging a pistol with intent.

Lornsten has been charged with discharge of a firearm with intent, possession of a firearm while prohibited, mischief under $5,000, failing to comply with probation and failing to comply with an undertaking.
