Construction of a new two-kilometre eastbound passing lane has been completed near Tyhee Lake on Highway 16.
As part of this $6.5-million project, improvements were also made to the George Frontage Road access to Highway 16 and the Bulkley View Rest Area, including new lighting, a new pit toilet, wheelchair access to picnic tables and acceleration and deceleration lanes for safer access.
