Book sale at Prince George library set for this weekend

Community members will have the opportunity to pay what they want for books, DVDs, and other items at the library’s twice-annual book sale at the Bob Harkins Branch this weekend.

The sale, organized by the Friends of the Prince George Public Library, runs Friday, October 27 through Sunday, October 29. Friday is a ‘members only’ preview from 3-5 p.m. Memberships are available at the door for $5.

The sale raises approximately $9,000 annually to support programs such as the Summer Reading Program. The volunteer-run Friends of the Prince George Public Library has made significant contributions to the Knowledge Garden and Newspapers Digitization Project, and has pledged $15,000 for the library’s new outreach vehicle.

Volunteers will spend Thursday evening and much of Friday setting up for the event in the Keith Gordon Room.

Book Sale Hours:

Friday, October 27, 3-5 p.m. (Members Only)

Saturday, October 28, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Sunday, October 29, 1-4 p.m.
