The search for missing Jenny Lynn Larocque, 61, has been suspended until further information or evidence comes to light.

For the better part of a week, volunteers with Kamloops Search and Rescue have been in the Venables Valley area, south of Ashcroft, searching for any sign of Larocque.  Unfortunately, no further evidence has been located.

Larocque, from Prince George, was last seen in Williams Lake on September 27 and was reported missing October 3.

On Sunday October 15, her great Dane/brindle mastiff dog was located in the Venables Valley, near Ashcroft.  The dog had suffered minor injuries, but was otherwise in good health. On Monday October 16, RCMP and the Kamloops Search and Rescue Society attended the area to begin a search.  Larocque`s vehicle, a dark blue 2014 Jeep Compass, was located later that day stuck on a rural road.  Larocque was not located.  The search continued for most of the week without success.

Larocque is described as:

  • Caucasian female
  • 160 cm (5’3″)
  • 45 kg (99 lbs)
  • Green eyes
  • Brown hair

Investigators have no reason to believe that Jenny Larocque has been the victim of foul play.
