Wholesale Sports closing

Prince George is losing its most recent downtown sporting goods store.

Wholesale Sports will be closing by the end of the year. The announcement was made United Farmers of Alberta Cooperative, the chain’s parent company. It will be closing all 12 Wholesale Sports outlets in western Canada.

“We thoroughly appreciate the loyalty from both our customers and Wholesale Sports employees and wish to sincerely thank each of them for their support and services over the years,” said Carol Kitchen, United Farmers of Alberta Cooperative president and CEO in a statement.
