Stolen semi and trailer recovered

Stolen equipment has been recovered and the investigation is continuing after a search warrant was executed late last week.

On the morning of March 16, the Prince George RCMP received a report of stolen equipment from a work site located along Highway 16 West near Isle Pierre Road.

The stolen equipment included:

  • A 1997 Freightliner tractor;
  • A 40′ Kaufman low bed flat deck trailer;
  • A white ‘sea-can’ container that was on the trailer;
  • A yellow 2010 John Deere skid steer tractor model 323D on tracks;
  • Pipes and other drilling equipment.

The replacement value of the property is estimated at approximately $500,000.

As part of this ongoing investigation, the Prince George RCMP’s Street Crew Unit executed a search warrant on a residence on the 13000 block of Chief Lake Road, just outside of Prince George, on Friday, September 8.

The 1997 Freightliner tractor and the Kaufman low bed flat deck trailer were located and recovered on the property.  The remaining items have not been located.

At this time no arrests have been made, however the investigation is continuing.
