The City of Prince George and School District 57 are working together to redevelop and upgrade the playground at Ron Brent Elementary School. Late last week, work began to replace the previous playground.
The funding for this project was made possible through the sale of part of Ron Brent Park to make way for the River Bend Senior’s Seniors Community. The City anticipates that the new playground and field will be completed in time for the school year this fall.
The new Ron Brent Playground will be comparable to the playground at Duchess Park. The design has components for all age groups including a large play climbing structure for five to 12-year-olds and an “adventure toddler” addition.
