Police looking for suspects in assault with weapon

Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying those responsible for an attack that took place this past weekend.

On Friday August 11, at approximately 8:15 p.m., the Prince George RCMP responded to a report of an assault with a weapon on Queensway near Moyie Street.

Police subsequently found a man suffering what appeared to be a slash to the leg from an edged weapon.  The man was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Although still under investigation, the initial believe is that the victim and a woman were walking in the area when they were confronted by another man and woman.  An argument ensued and the victim was injured by the male suspect.  The motive for the incident is not known at this time and it does not appear that the suspects and victims knew each other.  The suspects were not located.

The male suspect was described as:

  •        Caucasian
  •        Heavier build
  •        Below average height
  •        Short blonde hair and a beard
  •        Wearing all grey clothing

The female suspect was described as:

  •        Caucasian
  •        Heavier build
  •        Approximately 5’6″
  •        Dark sandy blonde hair
  •        Wearing black pants and a black shirt with blue writing
