Three new fires in P.G. Fire Centre area Monday

Three new wildfires were sparked in the Prince George Fire Centre area yesterday.

The largest one is the Chutali Lake fire, south of Vanderhoof which is estimated at 65 hectares. It almost halfway between the much larger Big Bend Creek and Tatelkuz Lake fires.

The Monkman fire, estimated at 7.5 hectares, in Monkman Provincial Park, east of Bear Lake, was also sparked yesterday.

The smallest of the three is a 0.10-hectare fire about eight kilometres northwest of Davie Lake.

There are 22 wildfires larger than 0.01 hectares in the Prince George Fire Centre area.
