Federal and provincial politicians will give an update on the fire situation in the Cariboo later today.
Ralph Goodale, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, Harjit S. Sajjan, Minister of National Defence, Carla Qualtrough, Minister of Sport and Persons with Disabilities and Chair of Federal Recovery Efforts for 2017 BC Wildfires Committee, and Mike Farnworth, British Columbia Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General, will provide an update on the response to the wildfires in British Columbia and tour the interior today.
They will provide an update at 2:15 p.m. from Kamloops.
