Shooting on Upland

Police are continuing to investigate following a shooting that took place early this morning.

At approximately 1:15 a.m. on Monday July 17, the Prince George RCMP received multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting shots fired in the area of Strathcona Avenue and Upland Street in Prince George.

Officers attended the area and located an adult male suffering from what appeared to be injuries consistent with being shot. He was transported to hospital for treatment of what’s believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

Initial indications were that two males with firearms shot at the victim and fled in a waiting vehicle. All attempts to locate the suspects and the vehicle have been negative so far.

The suspects were only described as wearing dark clothing with bandanas over their faces.

The vehicle is described as:

· Older model

· Blue

· 4 door sedan

This investigation is in the beginning stages. Police believe this was a targeted attack and that the general public are not at risk.
