Evacuation alert rescinded for Mud River fire

Crews have gotten the upper hand on a forest fire burning near McBride Timber Road South.

An evacuation alert, issued on the weekend for 50 homes in the area, has now been rescinded. The fire, which started Friday, had grew to 10 hectares.

The B.C. Wildfire Service attacked the water bombers.
