The search for a man who fell into the Quesnel River Saturday has been hampered by high water.
Quesnel RCMP report that Terrance Paul Jr., 32, was walking with friends along the train bridge in Quesnel when he fell into the river where it meets the Fraser River.
While two friends searched the river, another friend alerted emergency services personnel. Search and Rescue were notified and a search was activated. The RCMP helicopter was called to assist in the search efforts however to date all efforts have failed to locate Mr. Paul.
Today Monday June 26, search efforts have been hampered due to the condition of the river. The rapidly moving water has prevented search and rescue efforts in the river. Ground search along the river bank has also been stopped due to the dangerously high water levels.
